The Marcus Orchestra program is under the direction of Dr. Kathlene Goodrich previously of The Hartt School of Music.

Kathlene Goodrich was an Associate Professor of Music Education at the Hartt School of Music.
Biography:

• B.Mus. And M.M.E. from the University of North Texas
  
  
• Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Michigan

She is a specialist in string instrument pedagogy. She has taught string methods and pedagogy at the University of North Texas and Western Michigan University

Has participated as region adjudicator for High School and Middle School Solo and Ensemble Contests in Texas, Michigan, and Connecticut.

Served as guest conductor for middle school and elementary school regional and all-county orchestras in Texas, Vermont, Michigan, New York, and Connecticut .
