| Congratulations - Heritage Festival Winners - 2010
|

The Marcus High School Orchestras took top awards at the Heritage Festival in San Francisco.
- Varisty orchestra received a Gold Award which is based on point average from all 3 judges being 92 or above. They also received Best in Division (orchestra), and the Best Overall Ensemble Award.
- The non-varsity received a Silver Award – based on point average from all judges above 85. They also contributed to the “Sweepstakes” Award that both groups received based on the average scores amongst all judges for both groups being higher than any other school with two or more groups. Dr. Kathlene Goodrich is the director for both orchestras
- Alex Williams also took the top individual award. The maestro award is given to the student who shows the most leadership qualities out of all of the instrumental students who participated in the festival. Alex was chosen out of nearly eight hundred students who participated in the festival.
- The competition took place on April 10 at Foothill Jr. College in Los Altos Hills near SanFrancisco.
